Derwent River Ferry trial

The Derwent River Ferry service was launched in August 2021 and it has proved to be a successful trial so far with four additional daily services were added in November 2021, the City of Hobart supporting a trial of Saturday services between December 2021 and mid-February 2022, and dedicated event services during The Ashes test match between at Bellerive Oval in January 2022.

Given this success in January 2022 the Tasmanian Government announced a further 12-month extension of the trial out to August 2023.
